د. عامر صادق: الجميع يعرف ان إستخدام الستاتين STATINS لمنع السكتات القلبية وأمراض القلب والشرايين وارتفاع نسبة الكولستيرول في الدم ضروري في بعض الاحيان، إلا أن الأبحاث الجديدة أظهرت أن هذه الفئة من العقاقير قد تكون لها اثار سلبية لدى بعض مرضى القلب.
ففي دراسة جديدة عرضت في العام 2009 لدى الجمعية العلمية للأمراض الصدرية في الجامعة الأميركية لأطباء الرئة، وجد أن الستاتين STATINS مفيد للمرضى المصابين بعجز القلب الإنقباضي (HERT FAILURE SYSTOLIC) و لكن وجد أن له تأثير سلبي على المصابين بعجز القلب الإنبساطي (DIASTOLIE FAILURE SYSTOLIC) حيث إنه يزيد من ضيق التنفس و التعب و يؤدي إلى صعوبة في ممارسة التمارين.
إن سبب عجز القلب الإنقباضي (SHF) هو أمراض شرايين القلب في معظم الأحيان و بسبب الإلتهاب و لذلك فإن الستاتين مفيد في هذه الحالة أكثر مما هو مفيد لعجز القلب الإنبساطي (DHF).
و أكد ذلك د. لونس من جامعة نورث ايسترن في بوسطن حيث أشار الى أن من الممكن للستاتين أن يساعد المرضى المصابين بعجز القلب الإنقباضي أكثر من عجز القلب الإنبساطي و ذلك بسبب تخفيضه لنسبة الكولستيرول وتخفيض الإلتهاب.
