من منّا لا يحلم بالشباب الدائم؟ يبدو أنّ هذا الحلم سيكون واقعًا بعد أن توصل العلماء إلى مستخلص نباتي أثبت قدرته على إبطاء عملية الشيخوخة.
بيروت: توصل علماء من جامعة كونكورديا في كندا إلى مستخلص نباتي أثبت من خلال الأبحاث الأولية قدرته على إبطاء عملية الشيخوخة.
وأجرى العلماء أبحاثًا للتوصل إلى تركيبات قد تطيل عمر خلايا الخميرة، ذلك لأنها تتشابه بشكل كبير مع الخلية البشرية من حيث الطريقة التي تشيخ بها.
وقال العالم البيولوجي من جامعة كونكورديا، فلاديمير تيتورينكو: "وجدنا 6 مجموعات من الجزيئات، التي تبطئ من تقدم خلايا الخميرة في العمر".
لحاء الصفصاف

وأحد أهم هذه المكونات التي عثر عليها، هو مستخلص نبات لحاء الصفصاف، الذي اعتبره العلماء أحد أهم الاكتشافات في مجال محاربة الشيخوخة.

وبحسب موقع "ساينس أليرت"، لدى إخضاع هذا المستخلص&النباتي للتجارب، قام بزيادة متوسط عمر خلية الخميرة بنسبة 475 في المئة.

ولا تزال هذه الأبحاث في مرحلتها الأولية، ولم يتم اختبارها بعد على الحيوانات.&
ويتوقع العلماء أن يكون لها مستقبل ناجح في مجال محاربة الشيخوخة والأمراض المتعلقة بالتقدم في السن.
