يبدأ الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترمب يومه عند الساعة الخامسة والنصف صباحًا بمشاهدة محطة "سي إن إن"، قبل أن ينتقل سريعًا إلى منافستها قناة "فوكس نيوز"، ويمضي الرجل الذي يحكم أقوى بلد بالعالم ما بين أربع إلى ثماني ساعات يوميًا أمام شاشة التلفاز، وهو وقت طويل جدًا، يعطله عادة عن مباشرة عمله في الوقت المحدد في المكتب البيضاوي.
إيلاف من واشنطن: نقلت صحيفة "نيويورك تايمز" عن معاونين لترمب قولهم السبت، إن الرئيس لا يسمح لأحد سواه بإمساك جهاز التحكم عن بعد الخاص بشاشات التلفزيون في البيت الأبيض.
تحفيز على العمل
وكان لافتًا أن ترمب يشاهد قناة "سي إن إن" التي يهاجمها باستمرار، إضافة إلى برنامج "مورننغ جو" الصباحي على محطة "إم إس إن بي سي"، وهو البرنامج الذي يروّج مقدمه منذ أسبوعين إلى أن الرئيس مختل عقليًا.
وقال أصدقاء لترمب إن الرئيس أبلغهم إنه يشاهد "مورنينغ جو" لأن البرنامج يدفعه إلى العمل. لكن من أحبّ البرامج إلى قلب الرئيس هو "فوكس إند فريندز"، الذي يبث عبر قناة "فوكس نيوز" الموالية له، وكان ترمب نصح متابعيه عبر موقع تويتر مرارًا بمشاهدة البرنامج.
وضع الرئيس في غرفة المعيشة الخاصة به في البيت الأبيض شاشة تلفاز عرضها 60 بوصة. وكان ترمب قال مرارًا لصحافيين إنه لا يقضي وقتًا طويلًا في مشاهدة التلفزيون، "لأنه مشغول جدًا بأداء عمله".
تغريد من وحي البرامج
وقال معاونون للرئيس إنه يصل متأخرًا إلى المكتب البيضاوي عن الوقت المحدد، وهو بين التاسعة والتاسعة والنصف صباحًا، الأمر الذي يدخله في جدل مستمر مع رئيس موظفي البيت الأبيض الجنرال جون كيلي، الذي يعتقد أن ترمب يضيّع الكثير من الوقت على مشاهدة التلفاز وممارسة لعبة البولينغ.
وذكر هؤلاء أن تغريدات ترمب، في غالبيتها، تأتي كردود فعل على ما يشاهده في البرامج الإخبارية.

He watches cable news network to get first hand information what the fake news media dishes to the public. Main stream media devotes 93% of it programs to anti trump mostly fake and uncoroborated stories. He watches Fox News which is about 53% pro trump and about 47% critical of trump. Majority of citizens responding to polls indicate the media is excessively anti trump in its reporting. .. Trump drives the main stream media and it’s reporters and management to hysteric attacks against him. Trump does not rely on his staff to provide with reports about media news. He watches them. He responds to them with tweets that expose their prejudice and incoherance. .. and he goes around the country to speak directly to packed arenas, unprecentant crowds in packed arenas and outside to listen and cheer him... despite all the factions of establishment and the media ganging to destabilize his presidency he has kept his campaign promises. He has accomplished more in 9 months than any other president in history of the USA in the same period, and more than many ithroughout their 4 or 8 years in office. With twitter and social media Trump bypasses the hostile media, andd talks directly to the citizens. .. economy is up and roaring, unemployment at record lows, labor participation increasing after 8 years decreasing under Obama. Hispanic unemployment is at 4.7% a historic record low. Wages of working middle class (in constant dollars) have begun to increase for first time in about 30 years. Manufacturing jobs have begun to increase again after 8 years of decline under Obama. Illegal immigration has declined by about 75%. Foreign criminals are being arrested, deported, or convicted and imprisioned. ... foreign nations greet Trump
